How much will my embroidery cost?
It is almost impossible to give an accurate quote without seeing an image because each design is different and the final cost will depend on the number of stitches, complexity and size of your design and the quantity required.  The more of a single design that you request, the less the per item cost will be.

You can email, fax or bring in a picture for us to provide you with a no obligation quote!  The better the quality of the original image the better your end result will be. Please bear in mind that if your design needs even a tiny hint of artwork created, there is an additional setup and digitising fee.  A stock standard design or a logo that consists of only lettering carries no extra cost. A digitising fee can range anywhere from $20 up to an average of $60.  If you want original, intricate embroidery on a special item, then a no obligation quote is absolutely essential.

As a general rule of thumb, if you want a design that consists of just lettering, you can expect to pay anywhere from $4 to $7 for a one off item.  A logo with lettering and a small amount of artwork might range between $8 - $15 plus a one off digitising fee of approximately $30.  A complex coat of arms might range from $12 - $25 per item plus a one off digitising fee of approximately $60.

Why is there a fee for digitising?
In order to create the image you require, we first need to scan your image into the computer. The image needs to be enhanced so that the outlines and details are clear enough to then convert to an embroidery format.  Converting Bitmap, Jpeg, Png or other images for embroidery digitising is usually a  complex and time consuming exercise and this cost is not fully passed onto the customer.  The time required to digitise your design depends on the complexity and size of the design and most digitising fees are only a token, relative to the amount of time spent.  A design can sometimes take many hours. We then run a test sample to ensure the finished product is of the highest standard.

Why can't you give me a price over the phone from the description I have given?
We will always give a ball-park price over the phone. This is not a quote. In order to quote correctly, send the image via email or post for a no obligation quote.

If I pay a digitising fee, what happens to my design after that?
If a digitising fee is applicable and paid for, you own the design. We will keep your design on file for future reference. If you later find an embroidery service that you would prefer to use, then we will mail you your design on disk at no cost. If you wish to copyright your design, that is your choice, but rest assured that we will not offer or sell it to anyone else. After all, it is your property.

Do you have any designs that don't incur a digitising fee?
Absolutely. We have available over 25,000 ready made designs.

Can you embroider cartoon characters onto clothing?
In a word, yes, but we cannot embroider copyright material. For instance, we will not embroider registered brand names/logos or any copyrighted slogans without the written permission of the owner/s and this is a very unlikely scenario. If you are a company and require embroidery work, we would require written permission on a company letterhead or in the case of an owner/operator, a letter of authority to copy your design.

Is there anything that you can't embroider onto?
There are very few limitations. Some articles may be too thick or too small and some design requests may not be cost effective. If in doubt, please phone or email your query and we can advise you immediately.

Do you have a minimum order quantity?
No. You can order a single item only or a bulk quantity. Obviously, the greater the quantity, the lower the cost per item.

I want to have some names embroidered onto towels as gifts. Do I have to buy them from you?
No. We are happy to embroider onto your item whether it be a towel, a cap, a bag or anything else you have in mind. If you do want us to supply an item, please let us know and if we don't have it in stock, we'll order it in for you.  Whether you purchase the product from us or your own supplier has no bearing on the cost of your embroidery. If the item you wish to embroider has been worn or used, all we ask is that it be freshly washed and placed into a plastic bag, for health reasons.

Is your work guaranteed?
Yes. We guarantee the quality of materials used and your satisfaction with the finished product. We will always provide a sample of your order for your approval. The thread we use will generally outlast the garment, although as with any coloured material, care must be taken regarding the use of bleaching products. If you treat your garments as per manufacturer's instructions, you will have no problems with your embroidery.

Does it cost any more to have more than one colour in my design?
No. The number of colours is not a factor. The only time the cost may increase is if you wish to use a metallic thread, but we will advise you of the cost of metallic thread if you request this in your design.

A friend ordered a towel for my son's birthday and she supplied the incorrect spelling of his name. Can you fix this?
To do so would require unpicking all or most of the embroidery. Sometimes this can ruin the garment, but this depends on the quality of the garment and the style of stitching used. We will do our best to rectify the situation, but cannot guarantee that the garment will not be spoiled. This will of course incur a cost to you for the time spent unpicking the embroidery or you can attempt it yourself with a good quality stitch cutter. Having said all that, generally it is not a problem to undo and re-embroider a garment. There is almost always a solution, but contact us before you attempt any repairs or alterations with embroidery so that together we can achieve a happy ending. (Alternatively, you could always change your son's name - it might be easier!!!)

Can you repair items of clothing using embroidery?
In most situations, we can embroider a design over a rip, a stain, cigarette burns etc.
It depends on the size of repair required or location of the repair. Phone us with the details and we can advise straight away on the feasibility of repairing your item.
